Is no mystery... you don't need years of culinary training, or rare and costly foodstuffs, or an encyclopedic knowledge of world cuisines. You need only your own five senses. You need good ingredients too, of course, but in order to choose and prepare them, you need to experience them fully. It's the many dimensions of sensual experience that make cooking so satisfying. You never stop learning.

1920's Shanghai, at the China Club- Ultimate New Years Eve!!
My good friends David and Nadine, put together an epic soire for new years eve at the China Club... Ahh, the China Club! Without a doubt, the most spectacular venue, and private club in the city (Really... I would rank it up there with some of the most fabulous places in the world....) Owned by David Tang of Shanghai Tang, and filled with the best art collection in the city, this was not a party to be missed!
Everyone dressed the part, and glam & laughter filled our private room and terrace! Happy New Year!!

Christmas Christmas Christmas!
"The Grinch, with his Grinch-feet ice cold in the snow, stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so? It came without ribbons. It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes or bags. And he puzzled and puzzled 'till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before. What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store. What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more."
So this year, I was a bit sad to be in HK and not with my family half way around the world... It ended up being fantastic fun, with great friends, and wonderful food! I hope you all enjoyed your Christmas as much as I did!!!
